Day
1, San José
An Azul Travel representative will welcome you at the
airport and will provide transportation to your hotel
in San José.
Day 2,
Tortuguero National Park - (BF, L, D)
We’re off to an early start from your hotel in
San José. We will begin on the road along a scenic
route of lush pasture lands and banana plantations,
through the Braulio Carillo Rain Forest National Park.
You'll stop for a typical Costa Rican breakfast before
arriving at the village of Matina. From there we will
navigate by boat up the Tortuguero River with a view
of the Caribbean Sea to our right. Upon arrival it's
time to check into our overnight Lodge. Enjoy a hearty
lunch before taking off with your local naturalist guide
on a walking tour of the bustling village of Tortuguero
and its immediate surroundings. After visiting the turtle
museum we wander, this time along the beach, back to
the lodge for dinner. During the months of July-October,
an optional guided night hike along the beach is offered
to observe the nesting of the sea turtles.
We follow with a well-deserved breakfast
and a boat tour through the quiet backwater canals of
the national park. This up-close observation of the
flora and fauna is a unique adventure in this special
part of the world.
We head back for lunch and an afternoon
of free time; take a nap, relax by the pool, visit the
butterfly garden, take a walk on the beach, join another
boat tour, or explore the trails around the Lodge on
your own; you decide.
Dinner will be served.
Day 3, Tortuguero
National Park(BF,L,D).
A full day of activities begins with the unforgettable
sights and sounds of an early morning tour to experience
the awakening of the Tortuguero wildlife.
After breakfast, we embark by boat around
9 a.m. At the next stop, we will head off by bus to
a typical Costa Rican restaurant for a delicious home-cooked
lunch. We continue our journey to the fiery land where
Arenal Volcano is waiting.
In the afternoon you will be relaxing at the hot springs
of your hotel, enjoying the backdrop of fresh nighttime
air and a starry sky surrounded by the beautiful, tropical
gardens.
Day 4,
Arenal Volcano (BF,L)
After breakfast, we embark by boat around
9 a.m. At the next stop, we will head off by bus to
a typical Costa Rican restaurant for a delicious home-cooked
lunch. We continue our journey to the fiery land where
Arenal Volcano is waiting.
In the afternoon you will be relaxing at the hot springs

air and a starry sky surrounded by the beautiful, tropical
gardens.
Day 5, Arenal
Volcano (BF,L).
The best half-day class 2-3 rafting close
to the Arenal Volcano!
Challenge yourself as you paddle through fun and safe
rolling rapids with names like "Morning Coffee"
and "Rock around the Croc",then relax and
play around in tranquil river pools in an isolated rainforest
river canyon!
Your professional, experienced bilingual guides will
give you safety and paddling instructions, lifejackets,
helmets… and then you're off!
If you’re lucky, you’ll get to observe lots
of wildlife including monkeys, sloths and tropical birds
such as ospreys, oropendolas and toucans. This unique
river trip is the best way to combine adventure and
nature.
Guides, kayaking, tropical fruit, a delicious lunch
and an exclusive, small-group tour experience is included.
There is an option for class 2-3 rafting also available
at Rio Balsa.

Day 6,
Arenal-Monteverde (BF,L)
Today you will explore. Hike with your
guide through the secondary forest of Arenal Volcano
National Park.
After a well-deserved lunch, we ride around
Arenal Lake to Tilarán before taking on 35 km
of adventurous gravel road, winding our way through
the mountains to Stanta Elena in the Monteverde Cloud
Forest region.
Monteverde is a whole different world above the coastal
towns that dot the country's famous shoreline. It is
a place of cloud forests and coffee plantations, monkeys,
mist, and friendly locals. The town of Santa Elena is
small and quaint, filled with tasty restaurants and
folksy artisan shops, while the nearby rainforest hosts
a remarkable amount of biodiversity. After arriving,
the rest of the day you are free to explore the beautiful
Town of Santa Elena.

Day 7,
Cloud Forest Adventure With Selvatura Canopy
and Tree Top Walkways (BF, L)
After having a complete and energizing
breakfast at the hotel, we are ready to start our
cloud forest adventure at Selvatura Park.
Ready to fly? This tour is one of the safest extreme
adventures in Costa Rica! Our Canopy Tour guides start
by harnessing you with all the appropriate equipment
after which they will teach you about all the safety
procedures to enjoy this amazing adventure with our
"Safety First" motto.
You will then fly through 15 cables
and 18 platforms with an optional Tarzan Swing at
the end of the adventure. Selvatura Park is one of
the longest Canopy Tours in Costa Rica.
Also it is the only canopy tour located
inside the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Second, Selvatura's Tree Top Walkways consist of a
1.9 mile (approximately 3 kilometer) trail that crosses
through the Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Here visitors will walk on eight different
bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet
( 50 meters ) up to 510 feet ( 170 meters ) and altitudes
ranging between 36 feet ( 12 meters ) up to 180 feet
( 60 meters).
Each bridge has a width of five feet, the widest bridges
in Costa Rica , and also a capacity of up to 80 people
per bridge making them both the longest and strongest
bridge systems in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The
Tree Top Walkways are suitable for people of all ages.

Day 8,
Manuel Antonio (BF)
After breakfast, we take a ride South
on the Interamericanaalong the coastline towards the
town of Jacó. We arrive in Manuel Antonio for
an afternoon check-in at your hotel.

This park extends almost 1,800 acres and attracts
its visitors with its gorgeous hiking trails through
abundant, tropical jungles bordering the white sandy
beaches and blue-green water. The fascinating evergreen
forest is home to about 100 species of mammals and
180 kinds of birds. A hiking trail through dense vegetation
all around the cape enables you to catch the beautiful
sight of 12 smaller islands just off the coast. This
is a splendid combination of nature and beach fun.
Day 9,
Guided tour through Manuel
Antonio National Park & Beaches. And a Beautiful
Sunset with the all-inclusive Sailing Tour with Planet
Dolphin!!!(BF, L)
Are you ready for capuchin monkeys,
sloth, iguanas, anteaters, and multiple species of
birds, all within easy walking distance into the rainforest
with your Costa Rican guide?
Around 9:00am your guide will pick you
up from the hotel and take you to the park to see
all the animal species in their natural environment.
In the afternoon you will sail aboard the Tom Cat,
Tom Cat II or the Spanish Dancer.
Join us as we explore the Manuel Antonio
Marine Reserve and watch dolphins, sea turtles, whales
and birds in their natural habitat.
Observe many species of colorful tropical fish while
snorkeling within a protected bay.
Enjoy a feast of grilled fish brochettes, pasta salad,

Day 10,

restaurants in town?
Day 11,
San Jose - (BF)
We ride back to San José. Once in San José,
the remainder of the day is yours to do as you wish.
You can visit one of the various galleries or museums*
or just go for a sightseeing spree.
*Museum and gallery fees not included in package.
Day 12, Departure
- (BF)
Transportation to the International Airport for your
flight back home.
